Theatre Department Web Site!
The Theatre department here at
LaVilla is the best any student could ask for. Quite often, when people
come to see the productions, they can't believe the actors are middle
school students. We owe this large compliment to our wonderful teachers,
Mr. DeSpain, Mrs. Muesing, Mrs. Amerson-Nelson and Ms. Malkewitz, who each work hard to
make this department its best.
Besides our normal Fall Musical,
One Act performance and our
Spring Play, we have other
after school activities throughout the school year. We have
Storytellers, Mime Troupe, and Improvisation Troupe. We also participate
in Thespians. In December, we perform in a district festival and then in
a state-wide thespian festival in February.
Of course the Theatre Department wouldn't be the same without the
LaVilla Theatre Boosters.
